Bio: Derek Skapars

Derek Skapars, is a well-established furniture maker, small business owner, and woodworking instructor. At the age of 7 his Father John Skapars introduced him to the fine art of woodworking. He can remember helping him install their homes living room floor in the suburban Boston, Massachusetts town of Dover; an interest was sparked, and a true passion was discovered. Derek has 8 years instructing experience and has completed formal training from the North Bennet Street School, Boston, MA (2007). Derek also holds a B.A. From Arizona State University (2005). Derek is incredibly involved in helping people learn a skill few people ever acquire, woodworking.
