Weaving I: Wall Hanging

In this class you will create a woven wall hanging, learn how to warp a loom, weaving stitches including plain weave, rya knots and soumak. You will have the opportunity to finish your weaving in class, or take home your project to finish at home on your very own loom. You will leave with a beautiful wall hanging, your very own loom kit and hopefully a new found love of weaving! This class is for anyone with an interest in lap loom weaving! No experience is necessary.

Your weaving kit will include:

• Loom
• Weaving needle
• Weaving comb
• Enough warp thread and yarn to finish a weaving
• A dowel rod to hang your weaving from
