Screen Printing Basics

Expand your output for image making. Screen Printing Basics introduces students to one of the most rapid printmaking forms. Ink, mesh count, preparing screens, and printing will be explained and demonstrated. The session will focus on Drawing Fluid technique, in which images are hand painted on a screen with drawing fluid and then screens are coated with screen filler, which blocks ink from being pushed through the screen. Printing will be done with water-based ink on paper. This class is a prerequisite for the Advanced Screen Printing Course.
