Welding I: Stick

Master metal fabrication with this workshop for beginners. Stick welding (SMAW) is the most common type of welding used for industrial and constructions purposes, this technique is perfect for working with thicker steel components where high precision and a fine appearance aren't critical. Topics covered and practiced will include how to tack weld, laying beads, and the different types of joints using mild steel. 90% of the welding will be in the flat position(table top) . Each class is limited to 6 participants to ensure personalized instruction and practice.

Helmets & gloves are provided.

You do not need to be be a member to participate.

Requirements: Closed toed shoes, long sleeve shirt and long pants (natural fibers)
