Woodworking II: Lathe
Learn the essentials of the wood lathe and traditional lathe tools. Students will learn to prepare and set up blanks between centers and learn basic tool techniques using roughing gouges, spindle gouges, skews, parting tool, and scrapers, as well as sanding and finishing on the lathe. You will leave the class with a finished project.
Students will have the option to turn either a mallet or wine stopper.
After completion of this workshop, members that want to be checked out on the wood lathe should come to studio hours until approved to work without guidance.
This is a small class, so limited spots available!

Requirements: Closed toed shoes, no loose clothing or jewelry, long hair tied back
