This class covers the proper use of conventional measuring equipment prevalent in the metal manufacturing and fabrication industry. The focus of this class will be in the reverse engineering and documentation of a machined part. Tools used will include; Granite inspection tables, Micrometers, telescoping bore gages, radii gages, protractors, gage pins, 1-2-3, 2-4-6 blocks, adjustable Parallels, V-blocks, Clamps, angle plates, height gages, precision levels, Students will leave the class with a comprehensive understanding of basic dimensional inspection and documentation.
