Laser Cutting II: Leather Sneakers

Expand on your laser cutting skills and learn to cut and engrave leather to make your own shoes using a SneakerKit.

In this two day class, students will:
-Create their own designs in Illustrator
-Learn to adjust laser speed and intensity for leather and cut out their design
-Learn leather dyeing techniques
-Use leather working hand tools to punch holes, sew and assemble shoes
-Just add laces and you're done!

IMPORTANT CLASS NOTES
Please email your shoe size to koneil@txrxlabs.org so we can order your kit.
Class registration will close two weeks before the class date so that kits can be ordered. Shoe sizes must be emailed by this time as well.

Laser Cutting I class required, and some Illustrator experience will help with design work, but isn't necessary. Visit sneakerkit.eu to see cool designs, and take a look at the template and assembly instructions before class. We will allow 1 hour of design time, so feel free to come in with your own designs if you'd like.
